Business partners and siblings, Hayley, Tom and Paul Cooper are delighted to announce that they will be expanding The Healthcare Hub brand with a third branch to service the local communities of the Rhondda Valley. The latest Hub which will be their third in less than three years, is set to open its doors in Pontypridd town this Autumn/Winter.
Work is currently underway to fit-out the former Soulsby Opticians on Taff Street, which when complete will accommodate a large modern retail area, reception and waiting area to service five independent clinical spaces. See artist impressions below.
The success to date of existing sites in Whitchurch and Canton (Cardiff) has reinforced the owners belief that there is real demand from the public for the healthcare products and services offered at The Healthcare Hub, which draws inspiration from the European model of orthopaedic shop/clinics.
The Vision
To establish a network of service-led retail venues providing a cross section of desired healthcare services and a broad choice of medically approved products, all under one roof. The goal is to make certain healthcare services and niche medical products more accessible to the public. In doing so, the aim is to assist GP’s and alleviate the financial constraints imposed on the National Health Service.
The Healthcare Hub Concept
The out-of-town Healthcare Hubs are designed to dovetail professional clinical facilities with a modern retail experience in a welcoming environment. The Hub will accommodate a mix of Healthcare Professionals so that the public can have greater access to a variety of desired healthcare services within their local community. Similarly, the retail aspect will also provide a range of class 1 medical devices and other associated products that are not typically available from traditional pharmacies or other retail outlets. Trained in-store Healthcare Assistants will also be on hand to enable appropriate product selection and fitting guidance.
Healthcare Services Offered at The Hub
Leading Welsh podiatry firm Ace Feet In Motion are the primary healthcare providers offering a complete range of podiatry services. Appointments with experienced HCPC registered Podiatrists will be available for all chiropody services including nail cutting, nail surgery, reduction of corns/callus and verruca treatments. Patients suffering with poor gait or foot function can also book a biomechanical foot assessment for the prescription of market leading orthotic insoles.
Discussions are also ongoing with a variety of allied Healthcare Professionals. It is anticipated that a mix of services from established healthcare businesses will also be offered from the other clinical facilities available at the Hub. Services such as physiotherapy, sports massage therapy, acupuncture and many more are currently being explored. The fashionable footwear selection caters for men and women with wide feet or foot-related problems, encompassing all styles of shoes, leisure wear & slippers. The footwear offered is suitable for various pathologies including rheumatism, hammer toes, bunions as well as diabetics customers who have lymphoedema.
An exclusive range of NHS certified supports, splints & bracing will now be easily accessible to the public for the first time on the high-street. The registered class one medical devices designed by UK Healthcare Professionals are medically approved to provide solutions to common orthopaedic pathologies and injuries encompassing all regions of the body from head to toe. To assist with product selection and appropriate fitting, a team of experienced Healthcare Assistants are also on hand to bolster your unique customer care experience.
