Nail surgery is when part or all of the nail is removed and can be used for ingrown, fungal, thick and painful toenails.
What can you expect from a Nail Surgery Consultation?
The nail surgery consultation will be a 15 minute appointment with our experienced HCPC registered podiatrist. During this appointment they will discuss any ongoing issues with your toenails, for example, consistent irritation and infection from an ingrown toenail. During this appointment discussions over the best management of the condition will be given. Options might include removal of the whole nail or removal of a partial nail.
Nail surgery will NOT take place during this appointment. If nail surgery is required then a Nail Surgery appointment will be required in addition to this one.
How long will the consultation last for?
The consultation will last for up to 15 minutes.

- Ingrowing toenails
- Thick damaged nails

Can you use health insurance to pay for nail surgery?
Yes, most healthcare insurance providers will cover the cost of nail surgery. We always advise speaking to your healthcare provider to discuss whether or not they will cover the treatment.
